Newgen Software appoints Shubhi Nigam to board, strengthens promoter group presence

Effective November 26, 2025, Shubhi Nigam (DIN: 11385232) has been appointed as an additional director in the non-executive non-independent category, liable to retire by rotation. The appointment follows recommendations from the nomination and remuneration committee and approval by the audit committee. The company will also seek shareholder approval for her appointment via a postal ballot notice. Ms. Nigam will receive a sitting fee of INR1,00,000 for attending board and committee meetings, along with reimbursement for expenses, and may also be eligible for a commission on net profit.

Ms. Nigam brings over 14 years of experience in product management, AI-driven solutions, and enterprise SaaS platforms. She is currently director of product at Carta Inc., leading the limited partners platform. Her past experience includes co-founding Laso Technologies Inc., a Y Combinator-backed AI startup, and serving as product lead & solutions consultant at Newgen from 2012-2019. She holds a degree in computer science and economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Shubhi Nigam is the daughter of Diwakar Nigam, chairman & managing director, and Priyadarshini Nigam, whole-time director, both from the promoter group. Apart from this familial connection, she is not related to any other directors or key managerial personnel of the company.
