H.G. Infra Engineering receives tax notice alleging INR 2.2 bn discrepancy

H.G. Infra Engineering Limited announced on November 26, 2025, that it has received a Show Cause Notice from the Goods and Service Tax Department, dated November 25, 2025. The notice, issued by the joint commissioner, State Goods and Service Tax, Corporate Circle-I, Ghaziabad Zone-I, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is under section 74 of the CGST/SGST Act.

The notice pertains to the financial year 2022-23 and alleges wrongful availment of input tax credit and under-reporting of supply in GST Returns, amounting to INR 2,20,03,80,368.36.

H.G. Infra Engineering stated that there is no immediate financial, operational, or other impact on the company. The company believes the notice was issued without providing an opportunity for a hearing, violating principles of natural justice, and containing baseless findings. H.G.
