Spandana Sphoorty names Venkatesh Krishnan new managing director and CEO

Spandana Sphoorty Financial Limited's board of directors, at its meeting on November 25, 2025, appointed Venkatesh Krishnan as the managing director and chief executive officer for a three-year term, effective November 27, 2025, through November 26, 2028. This appointment, based on the nomination & remuneration committee's recommendation, is subject to approval by the company's members.

Concurrently, Ashish Kumar Damani will cease to serve as the interim chief executive officer upon Krishnan's joining, though he will continue in his role as president & chief financial officer. Krishnan is a highly accomplished chartered accountant with over 34 years of experience in financial services, bringing deep expertise in financial inclusion and rural banking, including leadership roles at HDFC Bank and IFMR Rural Channels. He is not related to any existing director on the company's board.
