NDTV seeks shareholder nod for independent director Viral Doshi's re-appointment

New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) has initiated a postal ballot to seek shareholder approval for the re-appointment of Viral Jagdish Doshi as an independent director for a second consecutive term of three years. The proposed term will commence on January 24, 2026, and conclude on January 23, 2029. This re-appointment is in line with the Adani Group's governance practice of appointing independent directors for two terms, each lasting up to three years.

Doshi, currently 67 years old, brings extensive experience in leadership skills, education consulting, financial and risk management, corporate governance, and health, safety, environment, and sustainability matters. His current tenure is set to conclude on January 23, 2026. For the financial year 2025-26, his sitting fees amounted to Rs. 1,00,000. He attended 6 out of 7 board meetings during the financial year and holds directorships in NDTV Convergence Limited and The Western India Automobile Association.

The postal ballot process, conducted solely through remote e-voting, will begin on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. IST and close on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. IST. The cut-off date for determining eligible members to vote was Friday, November 21, 2025. The results are expected to be declared within two working days of the ballot's conclusion.
