Sunita Tools expands production with new Faridabad factory for artillery shells

Sunita Tools Limited, a leader in the mould base industry and an emerging manufacturer of defense products, announced on November 24, 2025, the acquisition of a second factory building on rent in Faridabad. This expansion is designed to support the planned growth of Line 2 for the manufacturing of artillery shells. The company has already taken possession of the premises, with installation of critical machinery and equipment scheduled to begin shortly.

Commercial production on Line 2 is targeted to commence by October 2026, or earlier, contingent on the timely delivery of three critical hydraulic presses from the vendor. This move is a significant step in Sunita Tools' defense manufacturing roadmap, aimed at enhancing production capabilities and strengthening its market position.

Sanjay Kumar Pandey, whole time director of Sunita, highlighted that the timely infusion of funds as a loan from the directors has accelerated the project, enabling progress ahead of schedule. The new facility will house Line 2, and the installation and commissioning of the required machinery are also planned for completion by October 2026.
