Magellanic Cloud unit secures ₹6 crore railway contract

Magellanic Cloud Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has secured a letter of acceptance from East Coast Railway. The contract, valued at ₹6 crore, is for the supply, installation, and commissioning of crew voice & video recording systems (CVVRS) for electric locomotives. This domestic contract is expected to be executed within thirty-six months.

The project aims to enhance operational safety, improve investigation efficiency, and boost crew performance accountability across the railway network. Joseph Sudheer Reddy Thumma, global chief executive and managing director of Magellanic Cloud Limited, stated the award is a testament to Provigil's expertise in delivering sophisticated, safety-critical recording platforms for the nation's rail network.

Magellanic Cloud confirmed that none of its promoter, promoter group, or group companies have any interest in East Coast Railway, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions. This strategic win reinforces Provigil’s leadership in providing cutting-edge train protection platforms.
