HUDCO, NIUA partner on urban infrastructure development across India

HUDCO announced on November 24, 2025, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA). This non-binding MoU aims to foster collaboration on programs related to urban infrastructure and development, including investment through HUDCO's Urban Invest Window (UiWIN). The partnership will also focus on organizing capacity-building programs, seminars, conferences, and workshops.

The collaboration will extend to conducting research, monitoring, evaluation, and impact studies, as well as exploring opportunities with multilateral funding agencies and other financing avenues. The MoU, signed by M Nagaraj, director (corporate planning) of HUDCO, and Dr. Debolina Kundu, director (AC) of NIUA, establishes a framework for cooperation valid for a period of five years.

The agreement emphasizes that separate project-specific agreements will be formulated for different initiatives, outlining scopes of work, terms, and conditions as mutually agreed upon. The MoU, while expressing mutual intentions for collaboration, does not constitute a legally binding commitment or create enforceable rights for either party.
