United Breweries registers land for new greenfield brewery in Uttar Pradesh

United Breweries Limited (UBL) has completed the registration process for the industrial plot allotted in Unnao District, Uttar Pradesh, for its upcoming greenfield brewery. This development follows an intimation made on February 13, 2025, regarding the investment in the new facility. The proposed brewery is designed to produce both mainstream and premium products, including Heineken®, with capabilities for both cans and bottles, enhancing UBL's manufacturing footprint and capacity in India.

The company announced plans for the greenfield brewery in February 2025 to address strong category growth in Uttar Pradesh. The facility is expected to be operational by Q2 FY27. This investment of INR 750 crore aims to add 1.0-2.0mhl of capacity and will be financed through a combination of debt and equity. The move underscores UBL's commitment to supporting its long-term growth plans and capitalising on market opportunities in the region.
