Adani Power appoints Narendra Nath Misra as independent director

Adani Power Limited has announced the appointment of Narendra Nath Misra as an additional director, effective December 4, 2025.

Misra will serve as a non-executive, independent director for an initial term of three years, concluding on December 3, 2028. This appointment follows the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee and was approved by the board of directors at their meeting on November 21, 2025, subject to shareholder approval.

Misra brings extensive experience in the power sector, having previously served as director (operations) of NTPC Ltd. for four years. He joined NTPC as an executive trainee in 1977 and holds an electrical engineering degree. His expertise spans various facets of the power sector, including design, engineering, contracts & procurement, human resources, and operation services.

Adani Power confirmed that Misra is not debarred from holding a directorship by SEBI or any other authority and meets the independence criteria set forth by the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI listing regulations. He is unrelated to any existing directors of the company.
