JSW Energy’s plan for Raigarh Champa rail infrastructure approved

JSW Energy Limited announced on November 20, 2025, that its resolution plan for Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure Private Limited (RCRIPL) has been approved by the Committee of Creditors. This follows JSW Energy's earlier intimation on March 6, 2025, regarding the successful acquisition of KSK Mahanadi Power Company Limited (KMPCL), making KMPCL a holding company of JSW Energy.

Through this, JSW Energy holds significant indirect ownership in RCRIPL, which is currently undergoing a corporate insolvency resolution process. RCRIPL serves as the exclusive provider of rail infrastructure for coal transportation to KMPCL, which operates an 1,800 MW thermal power plant and has another 1,800 MW under construction in Chhattisgarh.

The company received a Letter of Intent from the Resolution Professional on November 19, 2025. The finalization of this transaction is contingent upon receiving approval from the National Company Law Tribunal.
