UltraTech Cement appoints Ashok Kumar P as new chief legal officer

UltraTech Cement Limited has announced the appointment of Ashok Kumar P as its new chief legal officer, effective November 20, 2025. The company’s board of directors made the decision following a recommendation from the nomination, remuneration, and compensation committee. This appointment aligns with Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Kumar brings over 21 years of post-qualification experience as a law graduate. His expertise includes managing disputes and litigation, providing strategic legal advisory, and overseeing risk management from both Indian and international legal perspectives. His background also covers compliance, integrity, governance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and contract management.

The announcement was made by Sanjeeb Kumar Chatterjee, company secretary and compliance officer, and has been communicated to the BSE Limited and The National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The company's securities are also listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and the Singapore Exchange.
