TCS wins five-year deal to modernize NHS supply chain

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced it has secured a five-year contract with the NHS Supply Chain for application development support and maintenance of its core business systems and cloud infrastructure platforms. This collaboration aims to bolster healthcare supply chain efficiency through cloud and AI services.

TCS will replace legacy systems with a modern Supply Chain ERP solution to enhance scalability, accelerate time to market, and improve customer satisfaction. The initiative is part of the NHS Supply Chain's modernization program, aiming to unlock over £1 billion in recurrent value by 2030, and will support over 17,000 locations and more than a thousand suppliers.

The project will also transform legacy operations into a product and platform-based IT operating model and introduce better governance and agile delivery frameworks to improve sustainability and reduce environmental impact. TCS will leverage its expertise in large-scale transformation for this project.
