KEC International barred from new PGCIL tenders for nine months

KEC International Limited announced on November 18, 2025, that it has been excluded from participating in tenders and contract awards by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for a period of nine months, effective from the same date. This exclusion, which does not affect existing PGCIL projects under execution, stems from alleged transgressions of contractual provisions related to an earlier matter communicated on March 24, 2025. The company is exploring various options, including legal recourse and approaching PGCIL for reconsideration.

Despite the temporary exclusion, KEC International stated that it does not anticipate a significant impact on its operations or financial position, citing its robust order book and tender pipeline. The company emphasized its commitment to upholding high standards of corporate governance, ethics, and compliance, conducting business with integrity, transparency, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
