Adani Energy Solutions secures major transmission project in Gujarat

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has received a letter of intent (LOI) from PFC Consulting Limited for the establishment of a "Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from potential renewable energy zone in Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-V (8GW): Part C." This project was awarded through a tariff based competitive bidding process (TBCB). The LOI is contingent upon customary conditions and the execution of binding agreements between the parties.

The project entails the establishment of a 2500 MW HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) system between KPS III and South Olpad, spanning approximately 1200 ckm. This addition will increase AESL's overall transmission network to 27,905 ckm and its transformation capacity to 97,236 MVA.

Designed to facilitate the evacuation of 2.5 GW of renewable energy, the Phase-V scheme plans to enable an additional 8 GW of renewable energy power evacuation from the Khavda Renewable Energy park.
