GOCL finalizes sale of explosives unit to Apollo Defence Industries

GOCL Corporation Limited announced today, November 17, 2025, the completion of the sale of its subsidiary, IDL Explosives Ltd, to Apollo Defence Industries. This transaction signals the Hinduja Group's strategic exit from the explosives and detonators business portfolio. IDL Explosives Limited operates manufacturing facilities in Rourkela and other locations, with Apollo Defence planning to expand its presence in the growing Defence Sector.

This divestment allows GOCL to evolve into an energy company, aligning with its long-term growth aspirations. The company previously ceased operations at its Hyderabad plant due to the business no longer aligning with the city's urban development.

GOCL continues to hold substantial landbank and real estate assets nationwide and expects to complete the ongoing monetization of its Hyderabad land in the near future.
