Maruti Suzuki recalls Grand Vitara over fuel indicator glitch

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has initiated a recall of 39,506 units of its Grand Vitara model. The affected vehicles were manufactured between December 9, 2024, and April 29, 2025. The company suspects the fuel level indicator and warning light in these vehicles may not accurately display fuel status.

Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki to arrange for inspection and replacement of the faulty part. This service will be provided free of cost at authorized dealer workshops.

The announcement was made on November 14, 2025, by Sanjeev Grover, executive officer and company secretary, and shared with the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited.
