BEML joins pact for real-time cargo evacuation system

BEML Limited has entered into a four-party memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and Umeandus Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. (UTIPL). This agreement was finalized on November 14, 2025, at the partnership summit 2025 in Vishakhapatnam.

The alliance will focus on developing a pilot project for a real-time automatic cargo evacuation system (e-FTS), also known as enhance freight transport system, at Machilipatnam Port. Under the MoU, APMB will serve as the client, DMRC as the lead member, and BEML alongside UTIPL will act as execution partners for the project. This initiative is reported to be in the normal course of business for BEML.

The announcement was made as a disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. Urmi Chaudhury, company secretary & compliance officer, signed the disclosure, which was filed with both the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. and The BSE Limited.
