BASF India announces director resignation, new appointment

BASF India Limited has announced the resignation of Marcelo R. Lu as a non-executive and non-independent director, effective from the close of business hours on November 30, 2025. Lu is departing to pursue career opportunities outside of BASF.

Concurrently, the board has approved the appointment of Andrew Postlethwaite as a non-executive and non-independent director, effective December 1, 2025. This appointment is subject to shareholder approval. Postlethwaite, aged 61, brings extensive experience, having joined BASF New Zealand in 1986 and holding various leadership roles across Asia Pacific, including managing director of BASF South East Asia Pte. Ltd.

The company confirms that Postlethwaite is not related to any other director on the board and is not debarred from holding a directorship by any regulatory authority.
