SBI Mutual Fund crosses 5% stake in Biocon

SBI Mutual Fund, through its various schemes, acquired an additional 370,150 shares of Biocon Ltd on November 11, 2025. This acquisition was made via market purchase, increasing SBI Mutual Fund's total holding in Biocon to 66,865,887 shares.

The new holding represents 5.0013% of Biocon's paid-up share capital, surpassing the 5% substantial acquisition threshold. Before this acquisition, SBI Mutual Fund held 66,495,737 shares, accounting for 4.9736% of the company's capital.

The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 29(1) of the SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares & Takeovers) Regulations, 2011. Biocon's equity share capital before and after the acquisition remains Rs 6,68,48,18,175, consisting of 1,33,69,63,635 equity shares each with a face value of Rs. 5/-.
