Nippon Life India Asset Management partners with DWS Group

Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited (NAM India) announced a strategic collaboration with DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA ("DWS"), a prominent European asset manager. The company's board of directors authorized this partnership on November 13, 2025.

The core of this collaboration involves jointly developing an AIF franchise in India. DWS intends to acquire a minority stake of up to 40 percent in Nippon Life India AIF Management Limited ("NAIF"), a wholly owned subsidiary of NAM India, through subscribing to a fresh issuance of equity shares.

Beyond the AIF franchise, NAM India and DWS will explore broader cooperation, including passive investment products and global distribution. This non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) records their preliminary understanding, with definitive agreements subject to due diligence and regulatory approvals.
