Kama Holdings names Sanjay Kapoor independent director

Kama Holdings Limited announced the appointment of Sanjay Kapoor as an additional independent director, effective November 13, 2025. This decision was made by the board of directors following the nomination and remuneration committee's recommendations. His term will span five consecutive years, pending shareholder approval within three months of the effective date.

Kapoor, aged 58, brings a wealth of experience, holding a B.Com degree and an MBA. He is recognized for his pivotal role in the Indian fashion industry, including founding Genesis Luxury Fashion Private Limited, now part of Reliance Brands. His contributions include introducing several luxury brands into India, earning him multiple awards for innovation in fashion retailing.

Kapoor has confirmed his independence, meeting the criteria under the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. He is not debarred from holding a directorship by any regulatory authority and has no relation to other directors of the company.
