Gujarat Industries Power reports strong half-year earnings despite slight profit before tax dip

Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited reported a total income of INR 73,311.72 Lakhs for the half year ended September 30, 2025, an increase from INR 63,465.99 Lakhs in the previous year. Revenue from operations for the half-year stood at INR 69,291.84 Lakhs, compared to INR 59,602.28 Lakhs in the prior comparable period. For the second quarter (Q2) of FY 2025-26, revenue from operations was INR 32,139.53 Lakhs.

Profit before tax for the half year ended September 30, 2025, reached INR 12,559.01 Lakhs, a slight decrease from INR 13,407.09 Lakhs in the previous year. However, profit for the period/year increased to INR 7,876.20 Lakhs for the half year, up from INR 5,746.63 Lakhs in Q2 and INR 3,472.31 Lakhs in the corresponding Q2 of the previous year. Basic and diluted earnings per equity share for the half-year were INR 5.07.

The board of directors approved these standalone unaudited financial results at their meeting on November 12, 2025, following the audit committee's recommendation. The company's total assets as of September 30, 2025, were INR 8,58,007.28 Lakhs, with equity totaling INR 3,53,602.34 Lakhs.
