Grasim boosts paint production with new Kharagpur resin block

Grasim Industries Limited has officially commenced commercial production at its new Resin Block located at the Birla Opus Paints plant in Kharagpur, West Bengal, as of November 12, 2025. This new unit adds an installed capacity of 24 million liters per annum (MLPA).

With this addition, the total installed capacity for Resin Blocks across all Birla Opus plants has increased to 92 MLPA. Furthermore, the installed capacity for Emulsion Blocks across all Birla Opus plants now stands at 376 MLPA. This expansion is designed to cater to the domestic market.

The announcement follows a previous update on October 15, 2025.
