Sarveshwar Foods signs MoU for Mushkbudji rice procurement

Sarveshwar Foods Limited, in collaboration with Sagam Mushkbudji Farmer Producer Company (FPC) and the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost the procurement of Mushkbudji rice. This initiative, announced on November 10, 2025, aims to promote the aromatic rice from Jammu & Kashmir.

The MoU outlines a strategic intent to explore potential commercial transactions for an indicative quantity of 500 metric tons (MT) of Mushkbudji rice, valued at approximately INR 7.5 Crores. This volume is destined for distribution across Pan India. The agreement aims to establish a framework for good-faith cooperation, define product quality expectations, and strengthen the supply chain to benefit Mushkbudji rice farmers.

Rohit Gupta, chairman of Sarveshwar Foods Limited, highlighted the company's commitment to promoting Jammu and Kashmir's agricultural wealth and expanding the reach of this exquisite rice variety to consumers nationwide. Prem Garg, national president of IREF, emphasized the collaboration's role in connecting niche agricultural produce to established markets, ensuring fair value for FPCs, and enhancing India's specialty rice exports.
