Indegene acquires Cake Group to strengthen European healthcare marketing presence

Indegene Ireland Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indegene Limited, has announced the acquisition of 100% equity shares in Cake Kommunikations Holding GmbH (Cake Group) for an amount not exceeding €8.5 million, subject to net working capital/net debt adjustments. The share purchase agreement was signed on November 10, 2025, with completion expected by January 2026. This all-cash transaction includes deferred performance/milestone-based consideration.

The acquisition aims to strengthen Indegene's European presence and expand its capabilities in healthcare communications. Cake Group is a healthcare marketing and communications agency operating across Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, specializing in brand strategy, creative campaign development, and digital marketing solutions. Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, Cake Group has approximately 25 employees.

Cake Group reported a revenue of €3.78 million in FY 2024. Its turnover in previous financial years ending December was €3.18 million in FY 2022 and €3.10 million in FY 2023. The acquisition is subject to Austrian Investment Control Act clearance.
