Power Grid announces new auditor after previous firm's resignation

Effective November 8, 2025, M/s. ASA & Associates LLP, New Delhi, has been appointed as the joint statutory auditors for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for the financial year 2025-26. This appointment, made by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (C&AG) via a letter dated November 7, 2025, partially modifies an earlier communication from September 10, 2025. ASA & Associates LLP, established in 1991, is a first-generation CA firm with a head office in Delhi and branches across eight Indian locations, boasting over 34 years of experience and more than 30 partners/directors.

The appointment of M/s. ASA & Associates LLP follows the immediate resignation of M/s. Rama K Gupta & Co., New Delhi, from their position as joint statutory auditors, also effective November 8, 2025. M/s. Rama K Gupta & Co., who were initially appointed by the C&AG for the financial year 2025-26, tendered their resignation because the firm was allotted another statutory audit assignment by the C&AG for the same financial year. The term of appointment for M/s. ASA & Associates LLP will be for one year.
