REC forms two subsidiaries for inter-state power transmission projects

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has incorporated two new wholly-owned subsidiary companies: WR ER Part C Power Transmission Limited and WR ER Part A Power Transmission Limited. Both entities were established on November 6, 2025, with an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000 each, and are yet to commence business operations.

These incorporations follow Gazette Notifications from the Ministry of Power, Government of India, dated September 18, 2025, which allocated inter-state transmission projects. RECPDCL has been appointed as the bid process coordinator (BPC) for selecting bidders to establish the WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme for both Part C and Part A. The newly formed companies will be transferred to the successful bidders along with all assets and liabilities.

The acquisitions represent 100% subscriptions to the equity share capital in cash at face value, making both new companies related parties of REC Limited. Both subsidiaries will operate in the power sector.
