Welspun corp to establish new subsidiary for global treasury in GIFT city

Welspun Corp Limited announced on November 6, 2025, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Welspun Mauritius Holdings Limited (WMHL), the planned incorporation of a new step-down wholly-owned subsidiary in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India. WMHL's board of directors approved the move to establish 'Welspun Global IFSC Limited' or a similar name, which will engage in financial services and corporate treasury operations.

This new entity is intended to undertake global and regional corporate treasury center activities within the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) framework. The incorporation is subject to approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The proposed company will be 100% owned by Welspun Mauritius Holdings Limited, making it a step-down wholly-owned subsidiary of Welspun Corp Limited. Shares in the new company will be subscribed via cash consideration. Welspun Corp Limited, directly and through Welspun Pipes Inc., holds 100% of the shareholding in Welspun Mauritius Holdings Limited.
