HMA Agro Industries withdraws Marya Frozen facilities agreement

HMA Agro Industries Limited (HMA) announced on November 6, 2025, the withdrawal of its facilities agreement with Marya Frozen Agro Food Products Private Limited ("Marya"). The agreement, previously intimated on March 4, 2025, concerned facilities for slaughtering, chilling, processing, freezing, and packing of frozen Halal boneless buffalo meat.

The company stated that the agreement was not implemented and did not come into effect due to non-agreement on proposed terms and conditions by Marya Frozen Agro Food Products Private Limited. Consequently, HMA has decided to discontinue the proposed arrangement, and the earlier intimation stands withdrawn as the agreement was never operationalized.

HMA confirmed that the withdrawal has no impact on its existing business operations, as it will continue its regular purchase activities from Marya Frozen Agro Food Products Private Limited. The company currently focuses solely on purchasing packed frozen buffalo meat, with no slaughtering, chilling, processing, or facility-based activities being conducted.
