Cummins India reports record revenue, profit growth for quarter

Cummins India Limited (CIL) reported a 28% increase in total sales to ₹3,122 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to the same quarter last year. Domestic sales grew by 28% to ₹2,577 crore, and export sales rose by 24% to ₹545 crore. Profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter increased by 41% to ₹839 crore, and profit after tax (PAT) grew by 42% to ₹638 crore. Managing director Shveta Arya highlighted the record quarterly revenue and profit, attributing it to steady demand, improved order execution, volume leverage, and operational efficiencies. Macro-economic indicators suggest a positive economic outlook, with India on track for 6.8% GDP growth.

The board of directors also approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the period and a postal ballot notice to seek shareholder approval for additional material related party transactions. For the half-year ended September 30, 2025, total sales reached ₹5,980.29 crore (consolidated and standalone). Consolidated PBT for the half-year was ₹1,608.70 crore, with PAT at ₹1,226.23 crore. Standalone PBT was ₹1,609.38 crore, and PAT was ₹1,226.96 crore. The company's share of net profit after tax from its associate was ₹38.74 crore for the quarter and ₹74.92 crore for the half-year.
