Samvardhana Motherson forms new Hungarian JV subsidiary with Sanko Co.

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SMIL) has announced the incorporation of a new subsidiary, Motherson Sanko Sustainable Packaging Products EU, in Hungary on November 3, 2025. This move follows a joint venture agreement between SMIL's step-down wholly owned subsidiary, Motherson Global Investments B.V., and Sanko Co. Ltd., Japan, disclosed on February 7, 2025.

Motherson Sanko Sustainable Packaging Products EU, which is newly incorporated and has no turnover to report, will engage in the design, development, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution of plastic packaging materials and molded products for material handling solutions. The total subscribed capital for the new entity is €10,000.

The equity shareholding is split, with Motherson Global Investments B.V. holding 51% and Sanko Co. Ltd. holding 49%. The consideration for the shares was paid in cash by both shareholders in proportion to their respective shareholding.
