Siyaram Silk Mills announces leadership transition: New company secretary appointed

Siyaram Silk Mills Limited announced on November 4, 2025, that its board of directors approved the retirement of William Fernandes as company secretary, GM-Legal, and key managerial personnel (KMP). Mr. Fernandes will be relieved of his duties effective February 13, 2026, after his retirement on November 14, 2025.

Concurrently, the company has appointed Mahipal Thakur as the new company secretary, compliance officer, and KMP, with his appointment effective from November 15, 2025. Mr. Thakur is a qualified company secretary with approximately nine years of experience in corporate secretarial, legal, and governance matters. He has been with the Siyaram Group Companies since August 16, 2023, and as assistant company secretary for Siyaram Silk Mills Limited since January 1, 2025.
