Adani Green Energy posts strong H1 FY26 performance, capacity grows 49%

Adani Green Energy Limited recorded an impressive 39% year-on-year increase in energy sales, reaching 19.6 billion units for the first half of fiscal year 2026. The company’s renewable energy capacity expanded by 49% year-on-year to 16.7 gigawatts, with 2.4 gigawatts of greenfield capacity added in H1 FY26.

The company is on track to achieve its targeted 50 gigawatt capacity by 2030 and continues to make progress on the world's largest renewable energy plant at Khavda, Gujarat, which includes 7.1 gigawatts of solar, wind, and hybrid assets. Financially, revenue from power supply grew by 26% year-on-year to INR6,088 crores, and EBITDA increased by 25% to INR5,651 crores, maintaining a 92% EBITDA margin. Cash profits also surged by 17% year-on-year to INR3,094 crores.

Adani Green Energy anticipates a capex of approximately INR30,000 crores for the current year, with a range of INR30,000 crores to INR35,000 crores annually for the next two years. The net debt to run rate EBITDA is currently 4.4 times from an operational asset perspective, and including under construction debt, it stands at 5.1 times. The company expects this ratio to decrease sharply from 2029 onwards as capex projects come online.
