Alkem Laboratories to contest $2,16,263 GST penalty

Alkem Laboratories announced on November 3, 2025, that it received an order from the assistant commissioner, Sector 4 (Mobile Squad-7), Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The order imposes a penalty of INR 2,16,263 under the IGST Act, 2017.

The order, received on October 31, 2025, relates to the detention of a goods consignment due to alleged technical discrepancies in accompanying documents. The company stated it does not agree with the demand order and plans to contest it.

Alkem Laboratories further clarified that this penalty has no material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
