Zen Technologies secures ₹289 crore anti-drone system upgrade contracts

Zen Technologies Limited announced on November 2, 2025, that it has secured two major contracts from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, totaling ₹289 crore (including GST). These contracts are for the rapid upgrade of its Anti-Drone Systems (ADS), with completion slated within one year.

The company emphasized that these upgrades address operational feedback from frontline missions and evolving drone threats. This highlights the necessity for systems that can be swiftly adapted at both hardware and software levels. Zen’s in-house designed and developed ADS enables immediate validation of new MoD requirements and rapid system enhancements.

Ashok Atluri, chairman and managing director, stated that recent operations underscore the importance of domestically designed, developed, and manufactured (IDDM) products for national security, especially given the evolving nature of drone and cyber threats. He added that control over every system component is vital, making Indian-designed products a requirement for survival.
