Manoj Kumar Das appointed chairman of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Manoj Kumar Das, IAS, as chairman and director of the company, effective November 1, 2025. The Energy & Petrochemicals Department, Government of Gujarat, nominated Mr. Das for this role.

Mr. Das, a senior Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 batch, brings extensive experience to GSFC. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT-Kharagpur and specializes in revenue administration, urban management & civic issues, law & order, and disaster management. Currently, he serves as the chief secretary to the Government of Gujarat and has held various key positions, including additional chief secretary to the chief minister, district collector, and principal secretary for industries and mines.

Furthermore, Mr. Das has served as joint managing director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC) and as a director on the boards of Gujarat State Petronet Limited, GSPC LNG Limited, and Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation Limited. GSFC confirmed that Mr. Das is not debarred from holding a directorship by any SEBI Order or authority and is not related to any existing director or key managerial personnel of the company.
