GNFC appoints new chairman and director

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has announced the appointment of Shri Manoj Kumar Das, IAS, as its new chairman and director, effective November 1, 2025. This change follows a resolution by the Government of Gujarat (GoG), Energy & Petrochemicals Department, replacing Shri Pankaj Joshi, IAS (Retd.). Shri Das currently serves as the chief secretary to the Government of Gujarat.

Shri Manoj Kumar Das, a senior IAS officer from the 1990 batch, holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT-Kharagpur. His extensive experience includes specialization in revenue administration, urban management and civic issues, law and order, and disaster management. Prior to this role, he served as additional chief secretary to the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Gujarat, and held various positions across district and municipal administration.

The appointment is subject to approval by the nomination and remuneration committee, the board of directors, and the shareholders of the company. GNFC confirmed that Shri Das is not debarred from holding the office of director by any SEBI order or other authority.
