Lemon Tree Hotels expands Bihar presence with new Motihari property

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited announced the opening of Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, on October 31, 2025. This launch solidifies the company's expansion in Eastern India, adding to its existing presence in Bihar. The new hotel, featuring 50 rooms and suites, will be rolled out in two phases. The first phase, which opened on October 31, 2025, includes 32 rooms, a restaurant, banquet spaces, a spa, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.

The remaining 18 rooms, a specialty restaurant, and additional banquet facilities will commence operations in the second phase. Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary and the hotel management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, will manage the property.

Motihari, located in the East Champaran district, is recognized for its historical significance as the birthplace of George Orwell and the origin of Mahatma Gandhi’s Champaran Satyagraha. The city's connectivity to Nepal and major towns like Patna and Darbhanga makes it a strategic location for both business and leisure travelers. Lemon Tree Hotels Limited now operates 120+ hotels across 80+ cities in India and internationally, with a pipeline of 120+ upcoming properties.
