ICICI Prudential fund increases stake in Tata Chemicals above 5%

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, through its various schemes, acquired an additional 146,782 equity shares of Tata Chemicals Ltd. on October 29, 2025. This acquisition resulted in the fund's total shareholding in Tata Chemicals exceeding 5% of the company's paid-up capital. The shares were acquired via the secondary market.

Prior to this acquisition, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund held 12,606,246 shares, representing 4.95% of Tata Chemicals' voting capital. The recent purchase increased their total holding to 12,753,028 shares, or 5.01% of the total voting capital.

The fund clarified that its holding is purely for investment purposes and does not aim for a controlling interest in Tata Chemicals. The total equity share capital of Tata Chemicals Ltd. remains at 2,54,75,62,780, comprising 25,47,56,278 shares, each with a face value of ₹10. This disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 29(1) of the SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011.
