Firstsource, Monash University partner to advance AI innovation

Firstsource Solutions Limited, a global provider of business process management services, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Monash University. This partnership aims to bridge Firstsource's deep-domain expertise with Monash's research leadership to translate frontier AI research into scalable solutions across key business sectors. The collaboration will also foster practical applications of AI capabilities and co-develop next-generation AI solutions.

The partnership will create structured opportunities for Monash students to gain hands-on experience through internships, placements, and live innovation projects with Firstsource, contributing to the development of AI and digital talent in Australia. This initiative underscores Firstsource's commitment to building a sustainable innovation ecosystem, nurturing top talent, and fostering cross-border partnerships. Firstsource launched its Australia and New Zealand operations in 2024 and has been actively expanding its local presence, investing in talent and technology.

Minister for economic growth and jobs, Danny Pearson, noted that the Victorian State Government supports Firstsource's establishment of its Australian headquarters in Melbourne. The company's growing presence strengthens the tech sector, creates high-value jobs, and builds a valuable partnership with Monash University to upskill students and drive real-world AI innovation.
