SBI Mutual Fund cuts stake in Indian Energy Exchange

SBI Mutual Fund has reported a decrease in its shareholding in Indian Energy Exchange Limited (IEX), divesting 7.5 million shares which represent 0.8411% of the company's paid-up share capital. This sale, executed on October 28, 2025, reduces SBI Mutual Fund's total stake by 2% from its previous disclosure.

Prior to this transaction, SBI Mutual Fund held 67.78 million shares, equivalent to 7.6011% of IEX's paid-up capital. Following the sale, its revised holding stands at 60.28 million shares, representing 6.7600% of the company. The shares were sold through an open market transaction.

The disclosure, made under Regulation 29(2) of SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011, highlights a change in shareholding compared to a previous report on April 26, 2024, where the reported holding was 9.2332%. The total equity share capital of IEX remains Rs 891.69 million, comprising 891.69 million equity shares of Rs 1/- each.
