Narayana Health expands UK footprint with £188.78m Practice Plus acquisition

Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Health City Cayman Islands Limited, announced the acquisition of 100% equity shares of Practice Plus Group Hospitals Limited, a UK-based company. The agreement, signed on October 30, 2025, involves a total consideration of £188.78 million for 60,001 equity shares. This strategic move aims to expand Narayana Health’s international footprint, following its successful growth in the Caribbean.

Practice Plus Group Hospitals Limited operates 7 hospitals, 3 surgical centers, 2 urgent treatment centers, 3 musculoskeletal/diagnostic centers, and 1 ophthalmology center, with a total capacity of 330 beds. The company employs approximately 2,500 full-time equivalents, including around 1,300 doctors and clinical staff. Its turnover for FY24 (ended September 2024) was £229 million, with an estimated £250 million for FY25.

The acquisition is a cash consideration transaction, with the shares to be acquired by Narayana Hrudayalaya UK Ltd. The closing date is expected to be within six business days of the agreement. No governmental or regulatory approvals are required for this transaction.
