Indus Petrochem increases stake in Sunshield Chemicals

Indus Petrochem Limited (IPL) and its persons acting in concert (PAC), including Coppersmith Energies and Project Private Limited, Swarna Malhotra, and Sudhir Malhotra, have disclosed a substantial acquisition of shares in Sunshield Chemicals Limited (SCL). This follows SCL's Rights Issue Committee approving the allotment of 1,441,776 fully paid-up equity shares on October 27, 2025.

Prior to the acquisition, IPL and PACs collectively held 4,739,069 equity shares, representing 64.45% of SCL's total voting capital. Through the rights issue, IPL acquired 899,097 shares, Coppersmith Energies and Project Private Limited acquired 161,073 shares, Swarna Malhotra acquired 7,073 shares, and Sudhir Malhotra acquired 137 shares, totaling 1,067,380 newly acquired shares.

Following the acquisition, the combined shareholding of IPL and PACs in SCL now stands at 5,806,449 equity shares, increasing their total voting capital to 66.02%. The equity share capital of SCL has expanded from INR 73,506,000 divided into 7,353,060 equity shares of INR 10/- each to INR 87,948,360 divided into 8,794,836 equity shares of INR 10/- each.
