L&T secures significant power grid orders in Saudi Arabia

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on October 29, 2025, that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division has secured "Large*" orders for grid infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. These orders include the construction of a 380/33 kV Gas Insulated Substation, featuring hybrid GIS elements, 380 kV Transformers & Reactors, and comprehensive subsystems for power system protection, control, automation, telecommunication, HVAC, and firefighting.

Additionally, L&T will construct 380 kV Overhead Transmission Links, spanning an aggregated route length exceeding 420 km. These projects are integral to Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP), aimed at upgrading its electricity grid to support the increasing number of renewable energy projects.

L&T classifies these orders as "Large*", indicating a value between CR2,500 to CR5,000. These contracts underscore the company's role in developing robust power infrastructure, crucial for scaling up and strengthening the country's overall electricity network.
