BHEL reports strong Q2 FY26 growth, robust order book

BHEL announced a substantial increase in its Q2 FY2025-26 standalone financial performance. Revenue from operations rose to INR 7,512 crore from INR 6,584 crore in Q2 FY2024-25. EBITDA saw a jump to INR 763 crore from INR 393 crore, while profit before tax climbed to INR 492 crore from INR 132 crore. Profit after tax also surged to INR 368 crore compared to INR 97 crore in the prior year period. For the cumulative period up to Q2 FY2025-26, revenue from operations reached INR 12,999 crore.

The company's order book remains strong, with an order inflow up to Q2 FY2025-26 exceeding INR 35,000 crore, predominantly from the power sector (73%). The outstanding order book as of September 30, 2025, stands at over INR 2,19,600 crore, with 80% attributed to power projects. Prominent orders received during Q2 FY2025-26 include EPC contracts for 660 MW thermal power projects and a maiden order for the KAVACH system from Indian Railways.

BHEL also achieved operational milestones, including capacity additions of 800 MW (Yadadri TPS) and 660 MW (Khurja STPP), and synchronization of 800 MW and 660 MW units. The company received several accolades, including the SCOPE Eminence Award for R&D and a Platinum Award in the EEPC India Quality Awards.
