CONCOR appoints Rakesh Kumar Rousan as part-time government director

Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has announced the appointment of Rakesh Kumar Rousan as a part-time government director, effective October 28, 2025. This follows an order from the ministry of railways (MOR) dated October 17, 2025. Rousan's appointment is for the period he holds the post of executive director (BD), railway board, or until further orders.

Rakesh Kumar Rousan is currently the executive director (business development) at the railway board and a senior Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer. He previously served as CFTM in North Eastern Railway. With over two decades of experience in the railway sector, Rousan specializes in freight transportation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic coordination with various industries. His career includes roles in operation, commercial, business development, and general administration within railways and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

Holding an M.Sc. and MBA in operations management, Rousan's expertise focuses on optimizing business outcomes and fostering industry and government collaborations. The company has confirmed that Rousan is not debarred from holding a directorship by any SEBI order or other authority and has no relationships with other CONCOR directors.
