Rail Vikas Nigam wins major North Eastern Railway bridge contract

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded a contract by the North Eastern Railway for the construction of the substructure of Important Bridge No. 50. This project, valued at INR 1,65,54,60,581.78/-, includes a double D-type well foundation for a double line with RDSO 25 T Axel loading standard over the Gandak River. The work spans between Paniyahwa - Valmikinagar stations, contributing to the doubling work between Gorakhpur Cantt and Valmikinagar.

The project has a stipulated execution period of 24 months. It falls under the normal course of business for RVNL and aligns with general contract conditions. The contract includes the project cost, which amounts to Rupees One Hundred Sixty-Five Crore Fifty-Four Lakh Sixty Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-One and Paisa Seventy-Eight Only, including GST.
