Crompton secures record ₹445 crore solar rooftop order in Andhra Pradesh

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has secured a landmark solar rooftop order valued at ₹445 crores in Andhra Pradesh. This project, its largest-ever solar rooftop endeavor, will involve installing 2 KW on-grid rooftop systems across more than 40,000 households. The substantial win, representing 77 MW, follows another ₹52 crore order earlier this month, underscoring the company's rapid expansion in the solar rooftop market since its entry two months ago.

The company emphasized its strong market traction and execution capabilities, noting the solar rooftop segment's projected annual growth of over 20%, with an estimated market size of ₹20,000-25,000 crores. Crompton’s end-to-end involvement includes trained personnel and a responsive service network, ensuring seamless performance.

Promeet Ghosh, managing director and chief executive, stated this order signifies a crucial milestone in Crompton's renewable energy journey, reflecting trust in its ability to deliver large-scale, sustainable solutions aligned with India's clean energy ambitions.
