Crompton Greaves secures large solar rooftop project in Andhra Pradesh

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has received a letter of award from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. (NREDCAP) for an EPC contract valued at INR 445,03,85,000/- (excluding GST). This significant order involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of operation and maintenance for 2KW Solar Rooftop Systems, totaling 77.40 MWp.

The project aims to benefit 38,699 SC & ST consumers through a utility-led aggregation (CAPEX) mode across APDISCOMs under the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna. This initiative will be implemented across five divisions of Andhra Pradesh, including Kovur, Tirupati Rural, Puttur, Chittoor (O), and Chittoor (R).

The execution period for the order is approximately six months. This domestic contract represents a substantial win for Crompton Greaves, reinforcing its position in the renewable energy sector. The company confirmed that neither promoters nor promoter groups have any interest in the entity awarding the contract, and the transaction is not considered a related party transaction.
