BHEL challenges ₹200.76 crore arbitration award

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has filed two petitions challenging an arbitration award totaling ₹200.76 crore, plus interest. The petitions were filed on October 24, 2025, before the Commercial Court, Bengaluru, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

The legal challenge stems from an arbitration award passed by a sole arbitrator. BHEL, as the petitioner, is contesting the award in a case involving respondent Prasad & Co. The filings are registered as AP (FR) 142/2025 and 144/2025.

This disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30(4) of SEBI (LODR) Regulations 2015, detailing material ongoing litigations or disputes. The company is actively pursuing the reversal of this substantial financial claim through the courts.
